But after decades in its Bloomfield Avenue location near the very heart of Montclair, The Office will soon be no more.

"Regretfully, the Office Beer Bar & Grill in Montclair will permanently close at the end of service on Sunday, Dec. 1," the restaurant wrote on its Facebook page.

As news of the closure spread on social media, fans of the restaurant expressed regret and affection for the longtime happy-hour standby.

"My feelings so hurt ughhh..the Fridays iam going to miss the food the DJ... just the whole place damn," one woman wrote.

" Nooooooo! I must karaoke one more time!," said another.

The Office is owned by 40 North, a Morristown-based restaurant group with nine brands in 10 locations across New Jersey and a tenth restaurant, Steelworks Buffet & Grill, at the Sands casino in Bethlehem, Pa.
